Abelardo Morales

Abelardo Morales, 84, of Port Lavaca Tx gained his angel wings on November 05, 2024. He was born on September 16,1940 in Premont Tx. to the late Lauro and Hortencia Morales.

Abelardo was a hard worker, an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin, friend and he adored his one and only sister. He was loving and kindhearted. He loved drinking his coffee every morning and when Football season started Go Cowboys! He was going to watch every game and he was the best coach there was, he knew everything they did wrong. His last few years all he wanted was to be with his wife he couldn’t wait to be reunited with her. Abel, Abelardo, Vele, dad, and popo all names that he was called by family and friends he will be greatly missed.

 He survived by his children Patrick Mendoza (pato), Judy Ann Aguilar, Abelardo Morales Jr (Hito), and Joe Morales (Lulu), Grand Children Vanessa, Robert, Jessica, Augustine, Celia, Leonardo 3rd, Michael,Jaime, Serrena, Velvet, Abelardo 3rd, Michelle,and Kaley. He is also survived by his Great Grandchildren Elisabet, Amanda, Abel X Jr, Alazae, Kiara, Jovani, Jaden, Jacob, Alyssa, Augustine Jr, Isaiah, Iliana, Celina, Jazmyn, Isabel, Jillian, Leo, Mykey, Mia, Valerie, Jaime Jr, Alyssa, Adrian, Ezra, Jolee, Mario Jr, Devon, Hazel, and Jace, Great-Great Grandchildren Cecily, Sebastián, and Xara Sister Esperanza Rodríguez

Abelardo was preceded in death by his parents, brother, daughter and loving wife.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday November 9th from 12-2 p.m. at C.T. Baker Funeral Home 634 S. Columbia Dr. West Columbia. Rosary will be prayed starting at 1:30 p.m. and his religious service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Preston Quintela officiating.
