Alfred Meredith

Crafton Meredith, 84, of Brazoria passed away July 21, 2015 at his home after a 7 year battle with cancer. Crafton served in the Air Force for 3 years and retired from Dow Chemical after 40 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, chopping wood for his wood burning heater, playing golf, watching the martins and feeding the hummingbirds. Preceding Crafton in death are his parents, Sam & Minnie Meredith . He leaves behind his wife, of 58 years, Betty Meredith of Brazoria, two brothers, Billy Meredith & wife, JoAnn of Cleburne and Waymon Meredith of Brownwood; two daughters and one son, David Meredith & wife, Janet of Allen, Joyce Shelton & husband, Chuck of Brazoria and Ruth Brown & husband, Lee of Brazoria. He has nine grandchildren, Ronnie , Conner & Shannon Meredith, Christine Loizeaux (Nathan) , Chuck Shelton (Angie) , Beth Coker (Ethan) , Ashley Guffey (Josh) , Laura Morton (Tim) , Wade Brown (Heather) ; 11 Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 10:00 am at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia with B.F. Flowers, Rev. David Pate and Rev. Dale Frankum officiating. Visitation will be on Friday July 24, 2015 at Baker Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Serving as pallbearers are Chuck Shelton, Lee Brown, Ronnie Meredith , Chuck Shelton Jr., Wade Brown and Conner Meredith. In lieu of flowers send donations to A MED Hospice 8901 Emmett F.
