Arlis Logan

Arlis (A.J.) Logan, 76 of Lake Jackson, Texas passed away surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, August 17, 2017. He was born December 12, 1940, in Berryville, Arkansas to Coy Raleigh and Cecil Clara (Bohannan) Logan. He worked as a Civil Engineer for Phillips Petroleum for 33 years working in Texas, Tennessee and Norway; was a member, deacon and treasurer of Gulf Coast Bible Church, deacon and treasurer at LaBelle Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee.

He is survived by his loving wife whom he married October 21, 1960, Ann Logan; daughters, Renee and Harry Engelhardt; Robin and Monte Hurley; son, Cory Logan ; grandchildren, Kalen Engelhardt, Conner Engelhardt and wife, Emilee, Taylor Engelhardt, Ian Engelhardt, Chandler Engelhardt, Jayme Engelhardt, and Sydney Engelhardt; Justin Hurley and Travis Hurley; great-grandchild, Colt William Engelhardt. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Laverne Elsey.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 am, Monday, August 21, 2017 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia, 634 S. Columbia Dr. 77486 (979) 345-3232. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gulf Coast Bible Church in Sweeny.
