Barbara Brim

Barbara Jean Brim, 83 of Brazoria, Texas passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 13, 1932 in Teague, Texas to Homer and Amelia (Simons) Fredenrich. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hamilton, Texas.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Monday, May 2, 2016 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia with Pastors Greg Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until service time at Baker Funeral Home on Monday. Serving as pallbearers will be James Shanks, Donnie Thomas, Burns Phillips, Roger Shugart, Randy Thomas and Stephen Broadway. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Lord and Riley Guillory.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Sherry Grassman (Ned) of Brazoria; Betsy Lord (Matthew) of Jonesboro; and Rozanne Thomas (Donnie) of Brazoria; 6 grandchildren, Daryl Grassman (Claire); Lyn McCalister, Meredith Phillips (Burns) Dwayne Thomas, along with Blake and Thomas Lord; 9 great-grandchildren, Peyton and Cade Chesser; Ava and Jackson Grassman; Hannah Ryman, Ian McCalister, Kimberly and Sophia Phillips and Emmilyn Chancey. She is also survived by sister, Rose Schrader (Leon) of Teague and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Brim; and daughter, Glynda DeRouen.
