Barbara West

Barbara Lillian West, 96, formally of West Columbia, passed from this life on Saturday, November 9, 2019 in Wharton, Texas. She was born on August 11, 1923 in Damon, Texas to Noah and Lucretia Argo.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 pm at Needville Public Cemetery with Calvin Argo officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Larry West, Lucas West, Edward Meuth, Scott Meuth, Scott Bryant, and Greg Galetka. Honorary pallbearers will be Archie Spacek, Matthew Bryant, Joshua Bryant, Travis Eli Choate, Robert Mason Meuth, and Josh Cantu.

Barbara is survived by her son, Larry West; daughter, Sheila West; sister, Linda Argo Booth; 8 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. West; parents, Noah M. Argo and Lucretia Rose Argo; son, Archie A. West; daughter-in-law, Martha Williams West; and brothers, Archie M. Argo, Donald Argo, Calvin Argo, Noah M. Argo, Jr., and Ivan Richard Argo; and sisters, Esther Brown, Daisy Brown, Doris Black, Carol Johnson, and Sharon Keszler.
