Bobby Mcduff

Bobby Eugene McDuff, 78, of West Columbia, Texas went home to be home with his Lord and Savior on April 4 2016. He passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side after a long battle with cancer. Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cherished friend to many. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Bobby was born July 10, 1937 in Elgin, Texas to Walter James and Lewine McDuff. Bobby married the love of his life, JoLynne Simpson, on July 18, 1959. He and JoLynne were happily married for 49 years before she went home to be with her Lord and Savior, November 17, 2008. Bobby was employed with Dow Chemical for over 30 years and retired in 1995. Some of his greatest pleasures included fishing, camping, and yard work, welding and spending time with his family.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Walter James and Lewine McDuff, and his loving wife of 49 years JoLynne Simpson McDuff. He is survived by his two daughters, Shannon Logan and husband Steven and Melany Ferrell and husband Alan, all from Angleton, Texas. He also leaves behind three wonderful and loving grandsons, Brandon Ferrell and wife, Ashley, Nathan Ferrell and Landon Logan and one beautiful granddaughter Lauren Logan, one brother, Walter James McDuff of Pass Christian, Mississippi and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Baker Funeral Home located in West Columbia, Texas. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 8 at 10:00 a.m. at Northway Baptist Church in Angleton, Texas. Interment services will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, in Smithville, Texas at 4:00 p.m. David Lopez of First Baptist Church, Clute, Texas will be officiating both services. Honored to serve as pallbearers are sons-in-law Alan Ferrell and Steven Logan, grandsons, Brandon Ferrell, Nathan Ferrell and Landon Logan and lifelong friend and fishing companion, Bruce Ross of Brazoria, Texas. Honorary Pallbearers are Jessie Scott, Eddie Duke, Jimmy Neely, Jimmy Wise and Gerry Bollom.

We thank God for the time we had with our loving dad and we will cherish the many precious memories we made. You touched many lives and will be missed beyond words. We will love you always and look forward to the glorious reunion when we will all be together again.
