Butch Holden

Butch Holden, 66, of Brazoria, went home to be with his heavenly Father on July 21, 2017. Butch was born Aug. 31, 1950 to Jimmy Dale Holden Sr. and Evelyn Scott Holden. He played drums in many western bands and played back up for country western singer, Gene Watson.

His greatest accomplishment was playing drums for the Cowboy Church in Brazoria.

Butch was preceded in death by his dad, Jimmy Holden Sr., and his step father, Eddie J. Weeks and grandparents, Ervin & Essie Scott and John & Nona Holden; uncles, Dan Scott Jr . and Norman Holden .

He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Goens & husband, Joe (Jigger); daughter, Shannon Holden Beck; grandchildren, Hunter Kelley and A'Mylie Beck; exwif e, Zella Harvey; cousins, Kathy Holden Crist, Michael Holden,and Jake Scott; aunt, Bernice Scott; stepsisters, Ramona Goens Beale and Kathleen Goens O' Connell; stepbrother, Joe B. Goens .

Visitat ion will be on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Baker Funeral Home in Brazoria from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a funeral service to begin at 7:00 pm.
