Carrie Rodriguez Liserio, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2024, at the age of 70. Born Carrie Garcia on June 17th in the vibrant city of Corpus Christi, Texas, she was born to parents Henry Garcia and Corina Rodriguez.
Carrie dedicated an impressive 40 years of her life to serving as a radiation specialist at the South Texas Project (STP). Her commitment to ensuring the well-being of others through her work was unwavering and left a lasting impact on all those around her. Colleagues remember her for her expertise, professionalism, and willingness to always go above and beyond to help others.
Beyond her successful career, Carrie was a remarkable woman with a warm heart and a gentle spirit. She found joy in the simple things in life - from spending quiet afternoons immersed in a good book to savoring a perfectly brewed cup of coffee. Her love for reading and appreciation for the finer details in life were part of what made her so endearing to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Carrie is preceded in death by her parents Henry Garcia and Corina Rodriguez, husband Johnny Ray Liserio Sr., and granddaughter Angel Corina Liserio.
Carrie is survived by her children Johnny Ray Liserio Jr. (LanaKaye), Jeremy Rene Liserio, and Jason Roy Liserio. Grandchildren Kylee, Zachary, Elizabeth, Johnny III, Kyler Lee, Julius, Selena, and siblings Hector Garcia (Florence), Cindy Cavillo (Ernest), and Homer Garcia (Dorothy).
Serving as pallbearers are Johnny Liserio, Jeremy Liserio, Jason Liserio, Zachary Liserio, Johnny Liserio III, and Kyler Lee Johnson. Honorary pallbearers include Julius Liserio, Elizabeth Liserio, Selena Liserio, Hector Garcia, Homer Garcia, Ernest Calvillo, Richard Perez (RJ), Henry Calvillo, and Cody Dupont.
Carrie will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of hard work, love, and compassion. As we mourn her passing, let us also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the positive influence she had on all those who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her.
Relatives and friends are invited to Carrie’s visitation on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 5-7 p.m., at C.T. Baker Funeral Home 634 S. Columbia Dr. West Columbia. A Rosary will be held in her starting at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place February 24, 2024, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Sweeny, Texas. Following the services, she will be laid to rest at the Sweeny Cemetery. Friends are invited to join the family for light refreshments from 12 noon until the time of mass in the church hall.
