Catherine Yauch

Catherine Lostracco Yauch, 95, died peacefully at Grace Care Center of Cypress on September 21, 2016 surrounded by her daughters and granddaughters. She was born on April 30, 1921 in Iowa Colony. She graduated from Danbury High School where she met her future husband, Glenn Yauch. They married on December 30,1943. Catherine was a homemaker, wife, and mother. Catherine's life was filled with family, Bethel Presbyterian Church, and many lifelong friends. Traveling was one of the highlights of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, her parents, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters. Catherine is survived by her 2 daughters, Glenda Marshall of Cypress and Rose Ann Smith(George) of West Columbia. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Deborah Young of Cypress, Lori Marshall of Cypress, Lisa Spedale(Mark) of Austin, Leslie Smith of San Marcos, and great grandchildren Morgan and Austin Young of College Station and Olivia and Elizabeth Spedale of Austin. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Ann Hutson of Tomball and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 6-8 on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Baker Funeral Home, 634 South Columbia Drive, West Columbia, Texas 77486. Services will be held at 2:00 on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia, Texas . Burial will be at Columbia Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Pastor Richard Ater. Pallbearers will be Austin Young, Mark Spedale, Thomas Lostracco, Joe Lostracco, Gary Ballard, Steve Lostracco, and Danny Coots. Honorary pall bearers are James Lostracco, Dale Lostracco, Mark Lostracco, Roy Lostracco, Kent Ballard, Homer(Buddy) Prunty, Wayne Warren, and Tommy Harvey. The family of Catherine Yauch would like to thank all of the staff at Grace Care Center of Cypress and Grace Care Hospice for their compassionate care during this time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bethel Presbyterian Church, CEMS, or Grace Care Hospice.
