Cecelia Elizabeth LaValle Caldwell Amox, 74, of West Columbia passed from this life in Angleton on Nov. 11, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Francis and June LaValle on July 15, 1942 in Charleston, South Carolina.
Cecelia was an editor and publisher, graphic artist, and real estate broker in Louisiana and Texas. In West Columbia, she opened the Silver Spoon Art Gallery and the Vintage Rose. She was a member of and ambassador for the West Columbia Chamber of Commerce and an active member of the Brazoria Art League.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jimmie Amox of West Columbia; daughter, Michele Smith of The Woodlands; brother, Francis X. LaValle of New Bern, North Carolina; sisters, Neilia LaValle of Huntington Beach, California and Deanna LaValle High of Manassas, Virginia; grandsons, Nicholas and Brandon Smith; a niece, Elizabeth Scott High and 2 nephews, Kyle Riley and Patrick Riley. Cecelia is preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends on Monday, Nov. 14, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia. Funeral services will be held on Tues. Nov. 15, 2016 at 2:00 pm also at Baker Funeral Home.
