Charles Allen

Charles Brent Allen, 80, of Houston, Texas, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 due to prostate cancer. He was born March 4, 1935 in San Angelo to Cecil Howard and Gladys Angelin Behrens Allen. He graduated from Sweeny High School and went on to study finance and economics at Baylor University. He served in the United States Air Force Reserves as a staff sergeant at Ellington; married Doris Goodman also from Sweeny then moved to Houston. He spent most of his career as stockbook manager at Gordon's Jewelers. Charles was a fix-it-man, enjoyed woodworking in his spare time and was a consumate Do It Yourselfer.

Graveside services will be held 10:00am, Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Sweeny Cemetery with Pastor Ryan Lintelman officiating.

Charles is survived by his children, Lisa Allen of Houston; Brent Allen and wife, Trisha of Damon, 3 grandchildren, Abby Rose, Annaliese Victoria and Walker Zane.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris and brother, Johnel Allen.
