He graduated from Brazosport College with a welding certificate and then continued his studies to be a chemical operator. Wes most recently worked at Nalco in Freeport as a Group Leader for the last 17 years where he made many more close friends.

Wes is survived by Donna Rene Wruck Kennedy, his devoted wife of 37 years; daughter, Tabitha and husband, Zac of Damon, and two precious grandsons, Jace and John; daughter, Samantha of Damon; mother, Mary Hoelewyn Nett of Angleton; mother-in-law, Dorothy Wruck of Damon; sister, Debra Kennedy of Georgia; brother, Levi Nett and wife Katelynn of Rio Grande City; sister, Katie Nett and husband Ernest of Angleton, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other close family members.
