Charles Noah Means, 72 of Brazoria, Texas passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016 in Kinder, Louisiana. He was born September 14, 1944 in Freeport, Texas to Sidney Louis and Mildred Lucille (Gallier) Means. He enjoyed fishing, wood working, traveling and gospel music. He was a Class C Operator for Dow Chemical for 33 years and he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Berlin.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Brazoria with Pastors Greg Smith, Bill Nowell and David Nowell officiating. Burial with Military Honors and Flag Presentation will be presented by his grandsons, Greg Meismer, USMC and Kyle Smith, USMC and Ryan Pollard US Navy at Gulf Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, November 8, 2016 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia. Serving as pallbearers will be George Harrell, Hunter Bull, Derrell Means, Russell Means, David Knuckey and Lynn Means. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Asher, Will Carpenter, Treney Allen, Greg Meismer, Sarah Meismer, Kyle Smith, Nikki Smith, Taaka Asher, Ryan Pollard, Chelcey Vernon, Dustin Vernon, Elizabeth Bull, Tracey Schroller and Bailey Bull.

Charles is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Means of Brazoria; daughters, Michele Asher and husband, Mark of Pasadena; Sarah Carpenter and husband, Will of Rock Island; and Belinda Allen and husband, Treney of Brazoria; brother, Willie Means and wife, Frances of Somerville; grandchildren, Greg Meismer and wife Sarah, Kyle Smith and wife, Nikki, Taaka Asher, Ryan Pollard, Chelcey Vernon and husband, Dustin; Hunter Bull and wife, Elizabeth and Bailey Bull; great-grandchildren, Kaylynn and Hadley Vernon, Avery Rose Smith and Wyatt Bull, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Douglas and Sidney Means.
