Christopher Earl Chambless
October 06, 1981 ~ June 30, 2023
Christopher Earl Chambless passed into the arms of the Lord, after a hard-fought battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday June 30, 2023 at his Brazoria residence. He was 41. Christopher was born on October 6, 1981 in Freeport, TX to Billie Gail Gilliam & Henry Samuel Chambless.
Christopher grew up in the Brazoria County area. He graduated Columbia High School class of 2000, then he enlisted in the United States Army. He served proudly in the Army and obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant (SSG) and was honorably discharged in 2008. After the Army, he earned an A.A.S. in Electrical Power and Control Technology from TSTC in Waco, TX. Christopher worked as an electrician for Dow Chemical Company and was very talented at his craft. At Dow, he met and fell in love with the love of his life, Brittany, and they remained married for 4 years until his passing. Together, they raised their children. His family will always fondly remember him for his love of dogs. Christopher was passionate about training his champion hunting retrievers and was a member of the Colorado River Retriever Club. Sadly, Christopher is preceded in death by his most cherished labrador, Ranger. Besides his dogs, Christopher enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing golf and he was described as an avid sportsman. But aside from all that, what brought him the most joy in his life was the cherished time he spent with his children and his wife.
Christopher is survived by his wife Brittany (Miller) Chambless, his children Wyatt Earl Chambless & Madison Elizabeth Lopez and his beloved labrador retrievers Gauge, Booger, Faith and his step-puppy Polly. He is also survived by his parents Henry Samuel Chambless and his wife Glenda of Brazoria & Billie Gail McKithan and her husband Russell of West Columbia, sisters Samantha Gail Coleman and her husband Paul of Brazoria & Kimberly Rene Chambless of Sweeny. Also Brittany’s parents Linda Elizabeth Miller of Livingston & Lee Otis Miller II and his wife Sandy of Caldwell, Brittany’s siblings Kenneth, Katy (Benny), Brian (Meredith) and Samuel (Destiny), and many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday July 6th from 5-7 p.m. and again on Friday July 7th from 9:30-11a.m. at C.T. Baker Funeral Home 634 S. Columbia Dr., West Columbia, TX 77482. Funeral service will begin at 11a.m. Interment to follow at the Brazoria Cemetery.
