Clive Rush

Clive Merle Brown Rush, 93, of West Columbia, Texas passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022, in Bay City, Texas. She was born June 16, 1928, in Lake Jackson, Texas to the late Merle (Stratton) and Perry Maxey Brown.

Clive was a member of the Christian Center. She enjoyed singing solo’s and playing the piano at church. She taught Bible Study at Brooks Manor for over 10 years. She also enjoyed traveling, family gatherings and loved to host family events.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George Lee Rush, Sr., son Steven Linton Rush; brothers Perry Brown, Dixie Brown, Ford Brown, and Jack Brown; sisters Frances Willenberg and Mina Hrobar.

Clive is survived by her daughter Ember Merle Ellison and husband Sam, son George Lee Rush, Jr., and wife Wanda, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2022, at C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Iglesia Centro Cristiano Church, 114 S. Columbia Dr., in West Columbia, with Pastor Richard Garza officiating. Interment will follow in Restwood Cemetery.
