Connie Lynn Maynor, beloved wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 25, 2025, at the age of 65. She was born in Bay City, Texas on July 14, 1959. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Lee and Glenda Harris, and leaves behind a legacy of love and faith that will live on through her family and friends.
Connie was a devoted wife to her husband, Roy Maynor Sr., with whom she shared nearly 50 years of marriage. Together they raised a beautiful family, and Connie’s greatest joy was being a mother to her sons, and cherished "Ne-Ne" to her grandchildren.
As a lover of sports, and a graduate of Sweeny High school, Connie was a dedicated fan of the Sweeny Bulldogs for many years, always screaming her heart out at games. However, her love for her grandchildren was so strong that she switched allegiances and proudly sported maroon and white Roughneck gear while cheering them on in their band and sport activities.
Connie had a deep and unwavering love for Jesus and found great joy in using her voice to praise Him. She sang for many years alongside Floyd and Christine Scott in the Southern Gospel group Hearts of Grace. Her passion for singing was only matched by her love for her family and friends. Connie never met a stranger and often could be found sharing her gift of music with those she loved and anyone that would listen. Her warm heart and kindness made her a friend to all. She touched countless lives with her generosity, and joyful spirit. Her laughter, beautiful voice, and love for life will surely be missed.
Connie is survived by her husband, Roy Maynor Sr.; her children, Roy Maynor Jr. (Rachel), Cory Maynor (Rebekah); her grandchildren, Rebekah Maynor, Roy Maynor III (fiancée Madison), Reece Maynor, Mykah Maynor; her beloved siblings, Kathy Friesen (Trevor), Michael Harris (Maria); and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Connie’s love for her family, faith, and music will continue to inspire and uplift all who knew her. She has now joined the Heavenly choir, rejoicing in the presence of Jesus, in the glorious home that she sang about so often.
