Crystal Ann Schuelke, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, passed away peacefully on October12, 2024, in Needville, Texas. Born on July 24, 1939, in Lockhart, Texas, Ann's life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and cherished relationships that brought joy to those around her.
Ann's enduring spirit shone brightly through her proudest accomplishment: a joyful marriage to her husband, Franklin Leon Schuelke, which blossomed over an incredible 63 years. Their love story was an inspiration to many, a testament to commitment and partnership that navigated the sands of time with grace and warmth.
She is lovingly remembered by her son Alan (Renda) and Tommy (Susan), who carry forward her legacy of kindness and strength. As a grandmother, Ann's heart swelled with pride for her grandchildren: Stephen Andrew Schuelke, Brandon Kyle Schuelke (Trinity Guzman), and Bailey Marie Schuelke (Allen Stegemiller). Each grandchild was a source of immense joy and she embraced every moment spent with them, creating memories that will forever be treasured.
Ann also held a special place in her heart for her sister, Elizabeth Harris, and her family, a bond that transcended time and distance. Along with her nephew Bill Mallia and niece Cherry Mallia, she created a warm and loving atmosphere that made everyone feel at home.
Her professional life at Chesney's Jeweler in West Columbia, Texas, showcased her commitment and diligence, traits that reflected her vibrant personality. Ann's ability to touch the lives of others extended beyond her family; she was a friend to many and a guiding light in her community.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Plumber and Valley Smith, and her dear sister Ruth Mallia (husband Paul, son John). The family also remembers her late brother-in-law, Vernon Harris, and her cherished grandparents, JBL and Matilda Reid, with fondness and love.
A visitation in honor of Ann will take place on October 17, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia, Texas. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, concluding with an interment at Yelderman Cemetery in Damon, Texas, where her memory will forever remain cherished.
