Danny Smith

Danny Earl Smith, 71, of Brazoria, Texas passed away on February 28th, 2019 at St. Luke's Health Brazosport Medical Center in Lake Jackson, Texas.
He was born February 24, 1948 in Abilene Texas to Joe Smith and Drudell (Miller) Smith.

Danny worked for The Dow Chemical Company from 1972 to 2001. He started his career at Unit-II Oyster Creek Division as a chemical technician. To family and friends, he was known as "the guy who could fix most anything". His skills were utilized as he worked in the Dow laboratory group, and as an analyzer specialist with Dow Pipeline. He was later promoted in the Dow Pipeline Division as a safety supervisor.

He loved spending time in the outdoors hunting and fishing. He was always in pursuit of the state record speckled trout. But most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved to cook for everyone. Togetherness meant a lot to him and he always cherished it.


Preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife Linda; his son Bryan Smith (Amy); his daughter Beth Wilke (John); brothers Stanley Smith, Joe Lee Smith; grandchildren Beau Johnson, Lacey Johnson, Ashley Lynn, Sydney Wilke, Jenavi Suttin.

Funeral services will be held Monday March 4, 2019 at 10:30 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Brazoria, Tx. Graveside services to follow at Brazoria cemetery.
Pallbearers: Bryan Smith, Lacey Johnson, Beau Johnson, Mark Kasper, Marcus Bacak, John Wilke.
