Dayrol Kime

April 3, 1953 — March 3, 2021

West Columbia

Dayrol Lee Hanners Kime was born on April 3, 1953, in Louisville, Kentucky to Thomas Lee Hanners and Gertrude Jean Hanners, and went to be with the Lord on March 3, 2021, following complications resulting from COVID-19.

Lee cared for her family wholeheartedly, and always made sure everyone around her knew they were loved. She loved God and others. A hardworking and loving mother of six, she aimed to express her love to each of her children, and their children, just as they were, unconditionally.

To know Lee was to love her, and there was not much that she did not have grace for. Whenever anything was needed by her family or friends, Lee was the first one to offer her help, regardless of the details. Her heart was kind and her dedication was never doubted. Her most notable trait was her enduring love and dedication to her son with special needs. Proudly, for the last 35 years she was Trents faithful and adoring caregiver. Selfless does not seem to describe her well enough, though it is definitely a trait she embodied everyday of her life. Lee had a true servant's heart and was the foundation of her family. She will forever be cherished.

Lee is survived by her loving husband of twenty-two years, Phillip Kime; her sisters, Betty Smith (Charles) of Marion, Sandra Shannon of Louisville, KY, and Sharon Hanners Rea of New York; children, Peter Guel (Peggy) of Houston, Tammy Garcia of Brazoria, Misty Garza (Eddie) of Brazoria, Mindy Neel (Andy) of Sweeny, Travis Motley of West Columbia, Trent Motley of Brazoria; grandchildren, Sydnee Houlette, Kyle Guel (Sarah), Rachel Palmer, Briana Guel, Sarah Guel and Lindsey Guel, Alexis Garza and Eddie Garza III, Travis Neel, Camron Neel, Case Neel, Dylan Knight, Cayde Brewer, Cantyn Brewer, Tyleigh Motley and Tayleena Motley; great grand children Aspen Guel, Fynlee Guel, and Omni Nichols, as well as countless other family members, friends and loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Gertrude Hanners and brother Bruce Freeman .
