On Sunday, December 13, 2020, Delores Cossin Bailey, loving mother of five children, passed away at the age of 75.
Delores (Aunt Sis) was born on March 4, 1945 in Charleston, West Virginia and moved to Texas around 1963. She was a successful business owner of multiple bait camps along the Texas Gulf coast, including Ernies #2. Delores was a very thoughtful and giving person who would help anyone. She married Herman “Pete” Bailey in 1975, they raised 5 children. For the past years they lived in Brazoria, Texas.
Delores was preceded in death by her father, Oshall; her mother, Sadie; three brothers; daughter, Lisa; and husband, Herman.
She is survived by three daughters, Sammy Bailey from Lampasas, Thersas Palmen from Brazoria, and Rebecca Neville from Lampasas; one son, Charles Bailey and daughter-in-law (Tonya Bailey) from Brazoria; sister-in-law, Evelyn Cossin of Brazoria; 11 grandkids; and 14 great-grandkids.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 21, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at C. T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest in West Columbia, Texas.
