Edward Earl Bennett, 93 of Rosenberg, Texas passed away at Harbor Hospice in Houston, Texas Tuesday, September 20, 2016. He was born August 23, 1923 in Fort Bend, County Texas to Ed and Daisy (Barber) Bennett. He was a machinist for Dow Chemical and owned his own business M&T Machine Shop, served in the United States Navy during WWII. He loved dancing, gardening, fishing and dominoes.
A graveside service will be held 10:00am, Friday, September 23, 2016 at Brazoria Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Baker Funeral Home in Brazoria. Serving as pallbearers will be Chad McLaughlin, Spencer Bennett, Brandon Bennett, Garrett Bennett, Daniel Bennett and Jerry Kocurek. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry McGehee, Tom Kocurek, and Matt Johnson.
Earl is survived by his children, Earlene McGehee and husband, Jerry; Loretta McLaughlin; Tom Bennett and wife, Barbara and Mickey Bennett and wife, Rebecca; 9 grandchildren, Stacey, Stephanie, Chad, Cari, Spencer, Amber, Brandon, Garrett and Daniel; 10 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; 2 sisters, Letha Pearl Zwahr and Laverne Hassel.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Natalie Nowak Bennett; his parents and his brothers, Red and Milton Bennett.
