Edward Henry Carr, 72, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 8, 2020 surrounded by friends and loved ones in his home in Brazoria, TX.
Ed was born on June 25, 1948 in Kingsville, TX to parents John and Earlene Carr. He graduated from Bay City High School and became a mortician for a short while before working as a high voltage lineman until he retired. He was a talented craftsman who enjoyed making knives to sell at trade and gun shows, like First Monday in Canton, and to a variety of clients all over the U.S.A.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Martha Carr; son, Kevin and wife, Tracy; stepdaughter, Shanna Worth and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Austin and Madison, Taylor Lee and husband, Levy, and Tanner Worth and wife, Kandalyn; great-grandchildren, Seraphine and Sapphyre Lee; and brother, Frank Carr and wife, Susan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Earlene Carr; brother, Bill Carr, and sister, Chloe Purvis.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Monday, September 14, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Brazoria. Mass will follow at 2:00 pm. Private family committal will follow at Brazoria Cemetery.
