Edward Glenn McClendon Sr.

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of our Father & Grandfather, AKA “Pop” Edward Glenn McClendon. Edward passed onto our Lord in the early hours of March 21st, 2024, Edward had a great passion for life in his 91 years on this earth.

 He loved the outdoors and chased deer, turkey and fish at every opportunity. Edward never met a stranger and was more than accommodating to all of those who stopped in for a visit. Edward was known in Brazoria County as one of, if not the best, mechanics in the area.

 He was preceded in death by his wife and the love of his life Marilyn McClendon. He is survived in life by his daughter Phyllis “Sissy” Bulin and husband Ronnie, son Scott McClendon, son Bubba McClendon, daughter Belinda McClendon, daughter Kari Mays and husband Kellie, son Thomas McClendon and spouse Kelly Murray, son Rickey Brandon Pugh and wife Jauree and son Jody Richards. Also survived in life are 27 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday March 25^th from 10 am to 12pm at C.T. Baker Funeral Home 634 S. Columbia Dr. West Columbia.  Religious service begins at 12pm.  Interment to follow at Brazoria Cemetery.

Serving as Pallbearers are Taylor Mayers, Tanner Mayers, Cody Haynes, Kaiden Pugh, Mason Chupp and Dakota Chupp. Honorary pallbearers are James Micheal Haynes, Brandon Pugh, Ryan Buxkemper ”Bucks”, Scott McClendon, Bryson Chupp, Kashton Pugh and Konner Pugh.  

The family has chosen Lake Jackson Flower Company in the event flowers are the way you wish to honor Edward and send condolences to the family.
