Evelyn Allegar

Evelyn Laverne Allegar, 81, of Brazoria passed from this life at her daughter's home on Sept. 15, 2016. She was born in Ezell, Texas to Louie & Lola Mae Jacobs on June 30, 1935. She was a member of the Church of Christ in West Columbia, Texas.
Funeral services will be held on Tues. Sept. 20, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home in Brazoria with David Weaks officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday Sept. 19, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Brazoria Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Darcey Dudley, Brandon Lincecum, Garrett Lincecum and K. J. Wasek.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Pamela Wleczyk & husband, Allen, Debbie Brigance & husband, Russell, Cay Dudley & husband, Ronald, Janice Wasek & husband, Ken, and Tina Lincecum & husband, Roy; sister, Lillian Naill; Step Children, Brenda Allegar & Vincent Allegar; 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Bruce Allegar & J. C. Russell Jr.; her son, Otis Lyn Hurt; and her grandson, Beau Maraist IV.
When I'm Gone
When I come to the end of my journey, And I travel my last weary mile, Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned and remember only the smile. Forget unkind words I have spoken; Remember some good I have done. Forget that I ever had heartache and remember I've had loads of fun. Forget that I've stumbled and blundered and sometimes fell by the way.
Remember I have fought some hard battles and won, ere the close of the day. Then forget to grieve for my going, I would not have you sad for a day, but in summer just gather some flowers and remember the place where I lay, and come in the shade of evening when the sun paints the sky in the west. Stand for a few moments beside me and remember only my best.
