Frances Oglesby

Frances Ann Oglesby, 104 of Brazoria, went to her heavenly home February 15, 2017; 10 days shy of her 105th birthday. She was born in Frenstat, Texas on February 25, 1912 to Joseph and Frances (Piwonka) Kristynik.

In the early 40's she worked in Michigan on an airplane assembly line. She was a long time resident of the Wild Peach Community. Frances lived with Mark & Cherry Brumbelow for 2 years prior to living at the Sweeny House nursing home. She made Jesus her Lord and Savior and was looking forward to being in Heaven.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia with Mark Brumbelow officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until service time. Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest.

Frances is survived by her niece, Karen McCoy of Wallis, TX; nephews, James Kristynik and wife, Michelle of Wallis, TX; John Kristynik and wife, Diana of St. Augustine, TX; and Charles Kristynik of Reno, TX; and special friends Cherry Brumbelow and husband, Mark of Brazoria.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, L. A. (Red) Oglesby; 3 brothers; 4 sisters; and sister-in-law, Helen Kieke.

In lieu of flowers, Frances requested that donations be made in her name to the Wild Peach Volunteer Fire Department or charity of your choice.
