Frank Cotton

Frank Cotton, 89, of West Columbia, TX, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 5, 2016 at his home of 65 years.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Cotton; daughter, Patricia Metcalf and her husband, Scott; granddaughters, Lindsey Shults and Laura Cole; great grandchildren, Hunter, Piper, Lincoln, and Parker; sister-in-law, Lynda Bagwell and her husband, Gary; nephews, Ernest Cotton and Gary D. Bagwell; and nieces, Rita Dorsett and Lynda Smith.

Frank was a faithful member and deacon at First Baptist Church in West Columbia. He worked for Phillips 66 at the Sweeny Refinery, served in the United States Navy, and served on the Columbia High School Board.

Frank is preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Segelquist; parents, Francis and Della Cotton; brother, Ernest Cotton and his wife, Bertha, of West Columbia; eight other brothers and sisters; and his in-laws, Warren and Agnes Hammond, of West Columbia.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 9, 2016 at Baker Funeral Chapel in West Columbia with Pastor Ryan Lintelman officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time. A private family entombment will follow.

The family would like to thank the caregivers from Help Inc. and AMED Hospice for their care.
