Frankie Jean Pate, 91 years of age Sweeny, Texas, passed away Friday, September 10, 2021, in Bay City, Texas.
Frankie was born June 03, 1930, in Forest, LA. She accepted Christ as her savior and became a member of First Baptist Church in Sweeny in 1945. She was a devoted Sunday School teacher, loved to garden, go camping, cooking for her family. She liked to attend to her grandchildren’s activities. She was kind, provided unconditional love to her family, and could always quote an appropriate bible verse for encouragement and inspiration.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years Ernest Pate, beloved son; Gary Wayne Pate, brothers; Jack and Dorothy Cole, Louis and Elsie Cole, Wayne Cole, sisters; Dorothy Faye and Lee Stanger, Ceolia Cole, brother-in-law; Joe A. Lingo Jr.
Survivors include daughter; Patti Leopold (Nelson), son; Robert Pate (Tricia), and daughter in law Jane Pate grandchildren; Kristie Lavender, Kenny Pate, Lee Anne Bible, Donna Shelton, Eric Pate, Adam Pate, step-grandchildren; Jason Leopold, Nelson Leopold, Jennifer Frias, and her fourteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren, sister-in-law; Ruby Lingo.
Pallbearers are Eric Pate, Adam Pate, Kenny Pate, Case Neel, Joey Lavender, James Lingo, Trey Stinnett
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church in Sweeny, Texas.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones to the visitation 10:00 am on Friday, September 17, 2021, at First Baptist Church in Sweeny, TX. Funeral Service will be Friday September 17, 2021, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Sweeny Cemetery.
Family request mask be worn during the service.
