Gayle Forson

Gayle Forson, 91 of Katy, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. She was born on July 24, 1926 to the late Henry and Ida Powell in San Antonio, Texas.

She worked as the switchboard operator for the Cypress Fairbanks School District Administration Office for over 30 years. Gayle was often referred to as "The Voice of CyFair." Gayle also loved baking and made the most beautiful cakes, pies, flowers, decorations and her famous Gamie rolls. She was the most kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend and will be missed dearly.

Gayle is survived by her daughter, Judy Janssen and son, James Forson; grandchildren, Jennifer Janssen, Adrian Lewis, Paige Caldwell, Chris Forson, and Shelby O'Blanc; great-grandchildren, Layla Alter, Liam Alter, Ethan Lewis, Erin Lewis, Jackson Caldwell, Mason Caldwell, Priscilla Caldwell, James Forson and Liesel O'Blanc.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, February 16, 2018 at Columbia Cemetery in West Columbia, Texas with John Price officiating.
