Gene Livanec

Eugene (Gene) Ladd Livanec, 79, of Brazoria, Texas, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018, peacefully at his home surrounded by many loved ones. He was born May 30, 1938 in El Campo, Texas to Ladd and Katie Livanec. Gene was a member of the Junior Volunteer Fire Department, Gulf Rescue Squad, and the National Guard.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Brazoria with Father Tin Pham officiating. Burial will take place at 1:30 pm Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, March 9, 2018 at Baker Funeral Home in Brazoria. Serving as pallbearers are Kaine Livanec, Taylor McGough, Robert Williams II, Ruben Trevino, Ben Trevino, and Anita Miller. Honorary pallbearer will be Johnny Doty, Jr.

Gene is survived by his daughters, Mary (Kitten) Conrad and husband, Randy, Genia Robinson and husband, Tim, and Connie Trevino; sons, Sam Trevino, Barlow Trevino and Ruben Trevino; sister, Diana Berry; brother, Lester Livanec; along with 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Janette Stuessel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gene's name to the American Cancer Society or to St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
