Glenn Burton Swanner, 45 of Brazoria, Texas passed away July 4th in Livingston, Texas. He was born January 20, 1972 in Freeport, Texas to James and Vera Elaine (Danford) Swanner. Glenn graduated from Columbia High School in 1990. He was a production manager for BASF and worked there for more than 20 + years.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Brazoria First Assembly with Pastor Rick Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Brazoria Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening July 12, 2017 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Marty Boone, Bobby Scott, Mike Moraw, Jeff Zimmerle, Mark Riggins, Jerry Swanner, and Jack Singleton.
Glenn and Wendy were married for 22 years and he was a hard worker and loved to work at the shop. He was always smiling and having a good time, loved living life to the fullest, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Glenn loved hunting, fishing, and mud racing. He was also a devoted Texans, UFC, and NHRA drag racing fan. Glenn was an amazing son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be extremely missed by all and will remain in our hearts forever.
Glenn is survived by parents, James "Sonny" Swanner, Sr. and Elaine Swanner of Brazoria; brother, James Swanner, Jr. and wife, Marilyn; niece, Rachael Smirak; nephew, Jeremy Swanner; great-niece, Ava Smirak and great-nephews, Eli Palm and Jace Swanner along with many friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, GB and Ollie Mae Swanner and Ervin and Vera Danford.
