Harvey Ray Cook, born on August 28, 1937, in Mt. Pleasant, TX, passed into the arms of the Lord on May 8 2024, in Lake Jackson, TX. He was a dedicated worker who contributed over 15 years of his life to SPR in Freeport, TX, eventually retiring in 2002. Subsequently, he embarked another fruitful journey at Burrow Global for over a decade.
A man of honor and valor, Harvey proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was rightfully discharged with honors. Apart from his professional achievements, Harvey found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life such as fishing and hunting.
Harvey leaves a lasting legacy of love and memories cherished by his surviving wife Brenda Cook; His son Russell Pharris and his wife Traci of Brazoria; grandchildren Christopher, Jonathan, Victoria, Spencer, Shai-Lynn, and Roger; great-grandchildren Traci, Astrid, Rhea, Lillie, Evelyn, Carson, Mason,
Alaina, Preslee, Allen, Ryan, Elijah & Gabriel. He was preceded in death by his parents Willie (Cash) and John Harvey Cook; son Allen Ray Cook; siblings Constance Cook, Ellen Cook, and John Henry Cook.
Harvey will be remembered for his dedication to both work and family, as well as for his adventurous spirit that led him to find joy in nature's beauty. May he rest in peace knowing that he has left behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be cherished forever.
