Jake Fox

Jake Dakota Fox, 24, passed away peacefully August 25, 2016. He was born April 29, 1992 in Houston, Tx. Jake graduated from West Columbia High School, class of 2010 and was a lifelong resident of Brazoria County.

Jake Fox never met a stranger and in his 24 short years, he touched the lives of everyone he met. Jake had the biggest heart. When Jake loved you, you knew it. This gentle young man always had a smile on his face and he took the time to talk and visit with anyone that needed a friend. The last few years of his life, Jake chose to live near his grandmother to help her with anything she needed. Jake will be deeply missed by his family, his friends and by all who were blessed to know him.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Friday, September 2, 2016 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia with Buddy Dudley officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
Jake was most at home when he was outdoors, he loved to mow and work with bees and took great joy in taking care of them.

Jake is survived by his father and mother, Ricky and Kathy Sobotik Fox of West Columbia; brother, Chad Fox and wife, Heather of Needville; two precious nieces, Hayden and Emma Fox, maternal grandmother, Gladys Sobotik of Clute, paternal grandfather, Earl Fox of Brazoria and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, J.L. "Curly" Sobotik and paternal grandmothers, Rosemary Fox and Myrta Fox.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Jake's name to Faith Baptist Church.
