James ‘Bubba” Fink passed into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. He was surrounded by his loving family after a hard-fought battle with cancer, he was 64. Bubba was born on February 7, 1959, in Bay City, Texas to Eugene Fink and the late Lavonia Hammond Fink.
Bubba grew up In the West Columbia area. It is here where he met and fell in love with Donna Stewart. They married on September 16, 1977, at the Assembly of God church in Brazoria, Texas. After they wed, Bubba joined in Donna’s family business, Stewart’s Food Store in Brazoria. Together they raised two children in Brazoria and watched their family grow over the years. His family fondly remembers him for his love of golf! He was a long-time member of the Freeport golf course, but his enjoyment didn’t end there. He will also be lovingly remembered for being an avid hunter, his love of baseball, especially his Houston Astros, but what really brought a smile to his face was watching and even sometimes participating in his grandkids sporting events and his granddaughters love of art and dance.
