James Goode

James Bruce Goode, 83 of Damon, Texas passed away at his home, Sunday, October 25, 2015. He was born August 5, 1932 in Pasadena, Texas to Ramond and Frances Goode. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict; he was a piping designer in the chemical industry for 25 years, and ranched for over 50 years.

Funeral services will be held 10:00am, Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia. Burial will be in Damon Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm also at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia. Serving as pallbearers will be Bruce Allen Goode, Randy Daren Goode, Danny Russell Goode, Randy Harold Breedlove, JD Laird and Willie Hoffman.

James is survived by his wife of 60 years, Melba Goode of Damon; sons, Bruce Allen Goode and wife, Jody of Idaho; Randy Daren Goode of Damon and Danny Russell Goode and wife, Tory of Utah; daughter, Sherry Breedlove and husband, Randy of Damon and brother, Brian Goode of Florida; he is also survived by 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Raymond Goode, Jr.
