James Lowery

James Ben Lowery, 75 of Richwood, passed from this life surrounded by his loving family on April 16, 2016 at his residence.

Benny was born in Freeport on Oct. 8, 1940 to Lonnie and Clarice Lowery. He graduated from Brazosport High School and later worked as a pipefitter and was a member of Local 211. He also served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict.

Funeral services will be held at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia on Tues., April 19 2016 at 10:00 am . His family will receive friends on Monday, April 18, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Gayla Lyn Parker & husband, Verlon, Candy Diann Bond, & husband, Darryl, Dana Cheri Roundtree, & husband, Trent; grandchildren, Chelsea Diann Bond, Aaron James Bond, Chyna Lynn Bond, Kayce Kristen Bond, Rhett Ellis Roundtree, and Sarah Jo Roundtree; brother, Sonny Lowery & wife, Laverne. Benny is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Buddy Lowery.
