James "Jamie" Chenault

James “Jamie” Marvin Chenault, 96, of Sweeny, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021 at his residence. Jamie was born December 22, 1924 to the late Allie Mae (Clark) and Barry Chenault. Jamie was preceded in death by his parents, brother and two sisters.

Jamie graduated from Sweeny High School and Abilene Christian College with a B.A. Degree. He retired from Exxon after 28 years of service.

Jamie was a member of Sweeny Church of Christ and he enjoyed golfing and his cattle.

Jamie is survived by his loving wife Iris Jo Chenault; children: Sandra Chenault Albritton and Jimmy, Iris Chenault and Donna Chenault Robles and Hector, Jamie Chenault and Ted Harris and Jim Chenault and Tammy; grandchildren: Chris and Laura Albritton, Courtney Janoch, Rachel Clark, Barry, Allie and JoBeth; sister Marie Chenault Currey.
