Jeanette Mccarty

Jeanette Weeks McCarty, 79, of West Columbia passed away in Galveston on June 18, 2018. She was born in Sweeny on August 15, 1938 to William (Pete) & Eunice Weeks. Jeanette was a caregiver for many people in the Brazoria county area. She loved to care for people; loved to see her garden grow ; loved sitting outside and especially she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was an avid and longtime Houston Texans and Houston Astros fan.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 2pm at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia with Stephen Breazeale officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest in West Columbia. Serving as pallbearers are Hunter McCarty, Gordon McCarty, Russell McCarty- Barrilleaux, Mike Medina, Michael Medina, & Robert Solis.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, James McCarty & wife, Melissa; brothers, Billy Weeks & wife, Violet and Tony Weeks; sister, Charlene Fisher; grandchildren, Gordon McCarty (Les), Trent McCarty, Shelby McCarty-Barrilleaux (Russell), Shelby Willson, Hunter McCarty, Heather McCarty, Eric McCarty, Amanda Heacox & Tabitha Bonds; great grandchildren, Riley Miller, Corbin Ellis, Alizabeth & Little Russ McCarty- Barrilleaux, Calder & Karleigh McCarty, Jade Goodson, Sierra McCarty, & Trenton Heacox. She is preceded in death by her sons, Gordon and Rick McCarty; sisters, June Price, Carol Gibbons & Linda Weeks Strother; parents, Pete Weeks & Eunice Weeks Miller.
