Jerry Lynn Wells passed into the arms of the Lord on April 17, 2024 at his Angleton residence with his loving wife by his side. Jerry was born on May 3, 1943 in Angleton, TX to the late Faye (Cox) and Garland Wells.
Jerry grew up in West Columbia and later moved with his parents to Lake Jackson. He graduated from Brazosport High School in 1962. Soon after graduation, he joined the United States Air Force and was stationed at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL where he met and married the love of his life Sylvia "Jeannie" Traina on August 19, 1966. They were married for 57 years.
Jerry was a devoted family man. He was always involved in his children's activities and he loved to build things.
Jerry is survived by his wife Jeannie Wells, daughter Kimberly Ann Stevenson and her husband Mark, sons Timothy Lynn Wells and his wife Kim and Jerrod Steven Wells. He is also survived by his grandchildren Elizabeth Ann Stevenson, Taylor Van Stevenson, Madison Wells, Myriah Alexis Wells and Jerrod Steven Wells and brothers brothers Garland Edwin Wells, Jr. (Speedy) and his wife Nelva & Dennis Evan Wells and his wife Janet.
He is preceded in death by his parents Faye and Garland, in-laws Joe and Atha Traina and infant son Joel David Wells.
Jerry died peacefully in his sleep from a long battle with dementia.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday April 24th from 12:00 - 1:00 P.M. at C.T. Baker Funeral Home 634 S. Columbia Dr. West Columbia. His funeral Service will begin at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest Cemetery, West Columbia.
