Jesse Cantu

Jesse Cantu, 89 of Brazoria, Texas passed away in Lake Jackson, Texas on Sunday, August 16, 2015. He was born February 9, 1926 in Houston, Texas to Juan and Yesebel Peres Cantu. He was a retired Dow Chemical foreman. He served during World War II in the Navy as a Seaman, 1c and a Brazoria County resident since 1954. Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 1:00pm until 3:00 pm at Bethel Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall (119 CR 300 G, East Columbia, Texas 77486). He was laid to rest on Wednesday at Brazoria Cemetery. Jesse was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Laverne Cantu and is survived by his son, L. Keith Cantu and wife, Chris of West Columbia; daughter, Judy C. Canady and husband, Mike of Jones Creek; grandchildren, Nikki Holmes and husband, Greg; Heather Canady; Jeramey Cantu; and Amanda Cantu; great-grandchildren, Kylie Canady; Brooklyn MacAllister, Thomas Holmes, Matthew Holmes and Kynleigh Brocato. The family would like to thank the exceptional staff at Elmcroft assisted living for their care and support. We also appreciate Altus Hospice for being there for our family during his last days.
