Jimmy Frank James passed away on January 18, 2025, at the age of 75. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who touched the lives of many.
Jimmy had a deep love for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He spent countless hours at Richland Chambers Lake, where he found joy in fishing and sharing his passion with his family. His greatest delight was teaching his grandchildren to hunt and fish, cherishing their smiles as they caught their first fish or bagged their first buck. Ever thoughtful, Jimmy would have their achievements mounted to preserve those special memories for years to come.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Verla and Jim L. James; his stepson, Jeff Hamilton, and his dear friend, Kenneth Zimmerle.
Jimmy leaves behind his devoted wife of 38 years, Judy James; his sons Chad James (Soraya) and Corey James (JoReed); Jeff Hamilton’s widow, Kim Hamilton (Barron), Jarrett Hamilton (Kimbrie) and his sister Pat Shadden (Steve) niece Lisa Duke (Todd) and nephew, Larry Flippo (Karen). He was a proud grandfather to Devon James, Miles James, Caleb James, Colton James, Dustin Hamilton, Courtney Fox (Adam), Devin Hamilton (Lauren). Josh Hamilton (Camille), Ashley Welborn (Jimmy), Kayla Jones (Tim) and Carlie Hamilton. He also adored his great-grandchildren Austyn Coon, Ellyssa Hamilton, Lily Fox, Knox Hamilton, Cooper Jones, and Ella Welborn. And many, many nieces and nephews.
Jimmy’s legacy of love for family and the outdoors will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his loss.
