J.L. Reynolds

"J.L." Reynolds, 95 of Brazoria, Texas passed from this life on Monday, October 3, 2016. He was born November 1, 1920 in Athens, Texas to John Thomas and Ethel (Bates) Reynolds. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. J.L. worked as an operator at Dow Chemical for over 40 years where his work ethic and knowledge of his trade were greatly valued. He loved his family unconditionally. J.L. was married for almost 60 years and taught by example what a loving marriage should be. He was an avid gardener and loved sharing with his friends and family. He will be missed greatly, but left a legacy of love behind.

Funeral services will be held2:00pm, Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Baker Funeral Home in Brazoria with his nephew John Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Brazoria Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm also at Baker Funeral Home in Brazoria. Serving as pallbearers will be Jared Reynolds, Jimmy Reynolds, Jace Reynolds, Heath Walker, Cory Crain and Shane Reynolds.

J.L. is survived by his children, Marlow Wayne Reynolds, James Lee Reynolds and wife, Lesa; Kevin Ray Reynolds and Michelle, Carma Lynn Crain and husband, Farris, Reesa Kay Walker and husband, Randy; grandchildren, Cory Crain, Jedediah Reynolds, Jared Reynolds and wife, Lisa; Jimmy Reynolds and wife, Celeste, Jace Reynolds, Heath Walker, Jennifer Hylden and husband, Darren, Erin Crain, Katelynn Nett and husband, Levi, Kelsie Crain, Pierce McNett and Kendall McNett; 11 great-grandchildren, brother, Billy Reynolds and wife, Ann along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Martha Reynolds; and his 3 sisters.
