Jo Williams

Jo Ann Williams, 82, of Sweeny passed from this life on Jan. 15, 2016 at her home. She was born in Andrews, Texas on Dec. 28, 1933 to Guy and Nellie Thompson.

Jo Ann was a member of Columbia United Methodist Church in West Columbia. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and family.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Sweeny Cemetery with Dr. Mike Deaton officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Serving as pallbearers are Scott Booth, Scott Leopold, Russell Williams and Dick Williams.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Steve Williams of Clute and Janet Williams of Sweeny; brother, Francis Thompson & wife, Betty of Del Rio; sister, Joy Scott & husband, Tommy of Del Rio. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, H. E. Williams; nephews, Francis and Jimmy Thompson; father in law and mother in law, Wylie & Mattie Williams.
