JoeAnn Miller, a beloved figure in the hearts of many, passed away peacefully on August 30 2024, in Angleton, TX. Born on October 18, 1944, in West Columbia, TX, JoeAnn's journey was filled with warmth, laughter, and an unwavering love for her family and friends.

For many, JoeAnn dedicated herself to the service of others. This was evident in her service as the Mayor of Brazoria and serving multiple years in the banking industry where she tirelessly served her community. She also dedicated herself in her role as an administrator at C.T. Baker Funeral Home, a testament to her compassionate nature and commitment to serving others during their most difficult times. Her professional life was marked by a deep sense of empathy that resonated with everyone she encountered.

JoeAnn was a proud mother and grandmother, and her family was her greatest joy. She is survived by her son, Stephen Miller, and his wife, Jennifer, residing in Brazoria, TX. Her grandchildren, who brought her immense pride and happiness, include Shelby Miller of Humble, TX; Mark Schumann of Corpus Christi, TX; and Cole and Jason Schumann of Brazoria, TX. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by her nephew, Tommy Hightower and her niece Micki Cameron who frequently spent time with her. She is also missed by her special friend Richard Goolsby.

A passionate sports enthusiast, JoeAnn never missed an opportunity to watch both college and NFL football. Furthermore, she found great joy in watching her granddaughter Shelby play in her softball games, never missing a moment to support and uplift her family.

Her interests extended beyond sports; JoeAnn loved traveling with Butch. Her home was always filled with good memories of adventure and laughter. She approached life with a positive spirit that touched all who knew her.

JoeAnn was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Butch Miller, her younger sister Linda, and her stepfather Hub Bryant. The loss of such cherished connections weighed heavily on her heart, but she remained a beacon of light to those who loved her.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Tuesday September 3, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home located in West Columbia, TX. A graveside service will follow at Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest at 11:00 AM.
