John David Scott

John David Scott, 74, of Damon, Texas passed away January 29 at his home in Damon. John was born on October 1, 1950, to Earl and Lily Mae Scott in Huntsville, Texas. He attended Pasadena High School. After high school John held multiple blue-collar jobs where he ultimately chose a career in truck driving for Stiles Truck Lines out of Pasadena, Texas. John was married to Mary Dennard Scott and was the father to Katie Cameron, Jonathan Scott, Farrah Baranowski, and Darrell Scott. When John wasn’t driving trucks he enjoyed fishing, cars, and giving bad advice to his grandchildren.

John is preceded in death by his parents Earl and Lily Mae Scott and his brother Donald Wayne Scott. John is survived by his wife Mary Dennard Scott, brothers Jimmy Scott (Carol), Carl Scott, and Walter Scott (Tracy); Children; Katie Cameron and husband Sean, Jonathan Scott, Farrah Baranowski and husband Steve, Darrell Scott and wife Amy. Grandchildren; Chelsie, Cheyenne, and Cody Cameron. Amira, Kaylan, and Penelope Scott. Hailey Baranowski. Colby and Conner Scott. Great Grandchildren; Sterling, Stetson, Zephaniah and Lyla, as well as numerous other family and friends.

John's Celebration of life will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made to the Damon Fire Department, Central EMS, or Brazoria County Sheriffs Office.
