Johnny E. Edling, 83, of Hallettsville, passed away on Feb. 19 2017 at Steven's Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Houston on June 9, 1933 to Eric & Carmen Edling. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed fishing, raising his cattle and horses along with taking care of his ranch. He was also a member of the 4H.
Funeral services will be held at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017 at 10:00 am with Pastor Ryan Lintelman officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until service time on Wednesday. Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest in West Columbia.
Survivors include children, Johnny Edling & wife, Karen of West Columbia, Mary Pavliska & husband, Michael of Hallettsville, and Sabrena Edling of Round Rock; grandchildren, Candy Caka & husband, Jeremy, Crystal Bujnoch & husband, Mark, Chelsie Pavliska, Eric Edling, and Ashley Edling; great grandchildren, Jax and Case Caka. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Sammie Edling.
