Jose Juarez, Jr.

Jose Manuel Juarez, Jr., 39, of Seguin, formerly of West Columbia, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021. Jose was born April 1, 1982 in San Jose de Ojo Zarco, Mexico to Luz Maria (Rivera) and Jose Manuel Juarez, Sr.

Jose was member of the Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant family, the eldest of the four sons.

Jose graduated from Columbia High School and the University of Houston with a double-major in Architecture and Environmental Design.

He is preceded in death by his uncles Alex, Luis, Ramon; niece Sereina, and his beloved dog Calimba.

Jose was responsible, honorable, humble and noble. He loved his family, his Harley Motorcycle, his dogs Bonnie and Clyde, his nieces and nephews loved him dearly and he loved them as well. They called him “El Tio Mane”.

He is survived by his three brothers Jose Guadalupe, Sergio and Jesse; parents Luz and Jose; close family members Luis, Maria, Tere, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia.

Interment will follow in Old Columbia Cemetery in West Columbia.
