Josephine “Josie” Eversole, 65, of Damon, passed from this life on Sunday, September 13, 2020 in Sugar Land, Texas. Josie was born on February 12, 1955 in Richmond to Raymond and Victoria Contreras Vega. In 1973 she married GV Eversole. She lived in Damon her entire life. Josie was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She took care of so many. She never met a stranger and was always ready to help anyone in need. Josie attended the Baptist Church in Damon for many years, now known as New Shores Church.

Josie is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Victoria; her husband, GV; brothers, Phillip, Fidel, Manuel, Pete, and Lupe; and sister, Mary.

She is survived by her brothers, Mingo, Victor, and Jesse, and her sisters, Patsy, Betty, and Janie; 4 children, Adam Eversole and wife, Tracy, and their children, Sarah and husband, Eddie, Crystal and Heather, Sherrie Eversole and partner, Marque Goodson, and children, Taylor and Emily, William Eversole and wife, Che’, and children, Ashlyn and Karalyn, and Buster Eversole and wife, Victoria Martinez, and child, Butch; 3 great-grandchildren, Avery, Braxton, and Cheyenne; along with numerous other cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:30 am Friday, September 18, 2020 at New Shores Church in Damon, Texas.
