Judith Eastland

Judy Eastland, of Lake Jackson, was born November 9, 1942, in Troy, Ohio, and passed from this earth on January 14, 2016 in Galveston following a brief illness.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents Mel and Mildred Anderson. Surviving her include her husband of 51 years, Charles, brother Mel and wife Stephennie of Houston, brother in law Robert and wife Lee of Houston, sons Brian and wife Susan of Lake Jackson, Charles "Mike" and wife Shelley of Katy, Mark and wife Debbie of Bryan, grandchildren Chase Elizabeth, Cullen, Nick, Drew, and Matt, a niece and six nephews.

Judy grew up in Houston, attended Lamar High School, and graduated from San Marcos Baptist Academy in 1961. Two years later, she met the love of her life. She and Charles were married in Houston June 27, 1964, and lived the majority of their married life in Brazoria County, where they raised their sons. Judy was active in her sons' activities, whether it be scouting, sports, or school. She was always there to support her boys. Later, she was a devoted and loving grandmother to her five grandchildren. She loved babies. Some of her happiest memories were working at Mothers Day Out with her friends at First Methodist in Angleton. Judy was a friend to anyone she met, and was always ready to help those who needed help with her gentle, positive attitude. She will be missed.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Bethel Presbyterian Church in East Columbia at 11:00am with Rev. Jim Gentner officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Burial will follow at Angleton Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Brian Eastland, Mike Eastland, Cullen Eastland, Nick Eastland, Drew Eastland and Jimmy Jordan.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Judith's name to Bethel Presbyterian Church General Memorial fund.
