June Eikenberg

November 23, 1918 — September 29, 2015

June Eikenberg formerly of Midland passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Country Village Care Facility in Angleton, Texas at the age of 96. She was born November 23, 1918 in Freeport, Texas to Charles and Minnie Baade.

After high school she attended Business School in Houston, Texas. June married Harley Eikenberg June 1, 1940. During World War II June and Harley resided in Mineral Wells. After the War, they moved to Midland and she worked for McKee Insurance until she retired in 1997. She moved to West Columbia in 2005.

June is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Minnie Baade and her husband, Harley Eikenberg.

She is survived by her sisters, Jo Ann Curry of Willis, Tx and Kay Spurny (Robert) of West Columbia, Tx., nephews Chris Curry of Willis and James Spurny (Karen) of Houston.

Viewing will be at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia, Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 10:00am until 11:00am with graveside services being held at 1:00pm at Evergreen Cemetery in Wharton, Texas.
