Kathy Gholson

Kathy Ann Gholson, 63, of Sweeny, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 in Houston, Texas. She was born on June 27, 1955 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Melvin and Juanita (Choate) Carr.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Sweeny Cemetery with Robert Choate officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Choate, T. J. Choate, Clint Lobpries, Shawn Smith, Mason Nichols, and Ronnie Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Preston Choate, Landon Choate, and Hunter Keener.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 45 years, John Gholson; daughter, Tracie (Gholson) Keeth and husband, Ty; son, J. B Gholson and wife, Courtney; sister, Sandy Keener and husband, Bill; brothers, Brandon Lawrence and wife, Erin, and Jerry Carr and wife, Joyce; aunt, Jo Dove; nephews, cousins, and a niece; along with grandchildren, Brittany Huddleston, Jonathan Huddleston, Mattie Gholson, and Jake Gholson.

She is preceded in death by her father, James Melvin Carr, and mother, Juanita Choate Lawrence.
